My husband recently had surgery on his esophagus and stomach and was finally able to eat something a little more solid. The waiter said they would work with him. And they did exactly that. There had been a misunderstanding with my order, but the waiter immediately corrected it, even though I had told him not to worry about it. That guy was so nice and professional. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Exactly what I was looking for. All our plates were good! We were the only people eating there (around 6pm on a Sat) BUT there were AT LEAST 20 takeout orders picked up while we were there. We see why. We got Special Combination Dinner Plates - - Sweet and sour pork - Mongolian Beef Noodle soup Both plates were plenty and hot. Mongolian beef was tender and tasty. Perfect spice level. Sweet and sour pork was not overly sweet nor was the sauce thick and heavy. Batter was crispy! Perfect. Forgot to take a pic of the cheese wontons, husb's fav. We will be back.

Oceans is such a gem here in Winters! It’s the only Chinese restaurant in town, but honestly, even if there were more, this place would still stand out. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and flavorful—we’ve been here multiple times and it never disappoints. Portions are generous, and the prices are very affordable, which makes it easy to come back often. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, and service is quick without ever feeling rushed. You can tell it’s a true small business that cares about its customers. Definitely recommend Oceans if you’re in Winters and craving good Chinese food!

No only is the food amazing but the gentleman at the front really creates a welcoming atmosphere that turns a restaurant into something more. They make you feel like part of a family.

Hidden gem in downtown Winters! Ocean Restaurant is the best Chinese food around—fresh, made-to-order dishes that hit the spot every time. The portions are huge (one combo plate easily feeds two!), everything comes out piping hot, and the flavors are spot-on. Favorites include the crispy sweet & sour pork, tender sesame chicken, flavorful hot & sour soup, and that homemade chili oil—it's the bomb! The family-run team is super friendly and welcoming, the place is clean and casual (perfect for a quick lunch or takeout after exploring Putah Creek or the farmers market), and it's a true community staple. We drive from Sacramento just for this spot—way better than chain options. If you're in Winters or passing through, don't miss it—authentic, satisfying, and always worth it! Highly recommend!

I agree with the other posts, Ocean restaurant in Winters is an absolute gem. My wife and I bought a house a year ago and decided to try Ocean. We are plant-based / vegan and wanted to see if there was anything we could have. The staff at the family-run restaurant were very helpful and accommodating and we really enjoyed the food. Looking forward to another visit.

Little hole in the wall. Mom and pop place. Shrimp chow fun is great - not a lot of shrimp but still good (see pic). Huge portions. The chicken dish was a little disappointing. The chicken, like at most Chinese restaurants, had a some inedible pieces. My rule is to never order chicken from a Chinese restaurant and that's the reason (someone else in my group ordered it). No menu online nor website. You can get takeout but you either have to go in and order or know already what they have. They pretty much have all the same menu items as most Chinese restaurants and they would probably be able to get you whatever you wanted. Took about 20 minutes for the order to be ready. We also ordered hot and sour soup. It was pretty good - not the best I've ever had but it was a LOT. There were two of us and I probably wouldn't order it again because of the size and the cost associated with it. Having said that, the prices are decent. In the case of the soup, it's enough to feed five people.
